Louis A. Brilleman
Louis Brilleman is a corporate and securities lawyer based in New York City. He has more than 20 years of experience representing both public and private companies. He has negotiated and completed numerous complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, stock and asset sales, public and private debt and equity financings, joint ventures and reverse mergers. In 2008, he opened his own practice.
He started his career in 1989 at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, one of the world's premier law firms, where he worked on corporate securities transactions, including underwritten public offerings and going private transactions. In addition, he worked on a number of large bank regulatory matters. He subsequently worked for several large and small law firms, including Bryan Cave LLP and Sichenzia Ross Friedman Ference LLP, where he represented clients in public offerings private placements, PIPES transactions and reverse mergers. He earned law degrees from the University of Amsterdam and New York University School of Law. He also completed course work at Columbia Law School and the University of San Diego School of Law. He is a member of the New York bar. His clients have spanned many different industries, including new as well as more seasoned businesses, such as a mobile marketing technology company; a designer and manufacturer of electric vehicles; a marketer of dietary supplement and topical skin products; a specialist in underwater technologies; Bluefin tuna farms; and a reverse mortgage company. In addition to domestic clients, he has represented entities based in numerous foreign locations, including Australia, Canada, China, Croatia, Iceland, Israel, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Vietnam. His language abilities include Dutch, Hebrew and German. He is also active in the not-for-profit world. He is a member of the board of American Friends of Herzog Hospital, Israel’s foremost center for geriatric, respiratory, mental health and psychotrauma care, treatment and research. |
